Guys, I've got some bad news, one of my favorite makers has had a recent death in the family and it's a pretty tough one. Ken's Mom passed away last week and unfortunately I found this out when I spoke with his wife today while checking on an order. Those of you who know Ken or his work, understand what a great guy he is, so if you would care to drop a sympathy card or note his address is:

Ken Steigerwalt
507 Orange Hill Rd.
Orangeville, PA 17859

If cards aren't your style, and you would like to express your empathy, please do so in this thread. After the next 2-3 weeks, I will print it at home and forward it to him. The loss of a parent is devastating to anyone, and I'm sure Ken would be thankful to know there is a large community of folks who are thinking of him and his family at this time. I ask that you sign your "real name" since I doubt he would know many of us by our forum user names.

Sincerely,

Steven R. Chmielewski, M.D.

My heart and prayers go out to you. I lost my dad in 99. I sure miss him. He always had me stop by before going to a show to show him what I was taking. She raised a good son.

Ken,

Our prayers are with you. I have lost my birth mother and my Great Uncle who actually raised me. It is hard and I miss them both. Look in the mirror everyday and thank her for what you see. I wish you comfort and all the best.

Ken,
My heart goes out for you. Betty and I will be praying for the family. My Mom passed away back in '90 and I still miss her.

Ken,

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost both Parents some time ago. It was a tough time. Our prayers are with you.

Ken,

We lost Rob's Dad in March and can appreciate how very difficult this must be for you. We are very sorry for your loss and will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. I know it is a little after the fact, but if there is anything we can do for you from here let us know.

Ken is a gentleman and a really nice guy...Seems like bad stuff happens to nice people.

He and his family remain in my thoughts.........:(

Ken,

I hope the pain of this tremendous loss eases with time.

Ken, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers in hopes that the sorrow will eventually change into fond memories of how blessed you have been to have your mom in your life.
