Hi All,
This is my first post at this site. I'm a new to this site and am very impressed with all of the information. I have a question for the group. Where can I get a updated list of special project/custom knives produced by Buck. Thank you.

Occasionally Joe Houser will put a list together for the Buck Collectors Club newsletter. The last one was maybe 6 months ago. Send me you contact information by email and I'll send you a copy of the last one.

You forgot to suggest jb join the club for better access to info like that.

I was going to send him an application and some other stuff I have lying around.

Hi Brian & guy g,

Thank you for responding to my post. I am also a new member of BCCI #1253; my name is John Burton (jfb4570@aol.com). I have been a knife collector off and on for the last 33 years, but just decided to focus on my favorite manufacturer “BUCK”, with custom/limited editions as the target for my collection. I have the book “Levine’s Guide to Knives” (5th edition) and it has a very good list of custom/special limited editions but stops at the year 1996. I would like to get the information form 96 thru 05 if at all possible.

I have been to the BCCI web site, however some of the scans of old news letters are hard to read and load sooo slooow on my PC. The scans of the BUCK catalogs are great, but don’t cover any of the special project knives issued over the years to many of their customers (such as smkw, Cabelas, Bass pro, ECT.). Any ideas or suggestions would be a wonderful help. I am excided to be a member of the BCCI and intend to learn about the art of developing some good displays and join the other members at some shows. I’m starting to take this thread in to a different direction so enough said for now.

Thank you all for allowing me to ask questions at this site, sharing your knowledge and your time. I’m sure these topics have been discussed before.

John,
I had the same frustration on downloading catalogs and old newsletters on the club web site, I guess my dial up service just won't hack it. As a way to raise funds to help support the club, they have a couple CDs you can purchase. One contains all the known Buck catalogs from 1948 through 2000. The second CD contains all the club newsletters from the first, one page newsletter produced by Vern Taylor through 2000.

Contact Buck Collector Club webmaster Jack Foresman, his contact info will be in your club newsletters and on the website.

Let me dig through some of my old newsletters for some of the old special projects lists and I will email you.

Brian
