Gday I have an old knife I was wondering if someone could give me a clue on its age. I love it. A very strong reliable knife. I doubt the paracord wrap is original. It seems to hold a good edge as well.

It first appears in the archived CS catalogs in 1995, and starting in the 98 catalog it is shown with the Cold Steel logo (previous catalogs didn't show any markings). So I'm guessing yours is from 95-97. However, since it's marked as Special Projects rather than Cold Steel, it could actually be earlier, as some items were sold as Special Projects "exclusives" before becoming Cold Steel products.

Thank you very much mate that's very interesting to me. It's quality of finish is low so much so my wife thinks I made it in the shed . But I really do like it.
