Hey guys, awhile back, I decided I needed a kydex "horizontal carry" sheath for my SOG Revolver series of knives. There are 3 separate models that I needed to carry occasionally in a horizontal, vertical, or even slightly cantered to the front.
The factory sheaths that comes with the Revolvers are really nice kydex and leather, but they are vertical only, and I wanted the ability to carry my Revolvers under my shirt in a very discreet manner sometimes.
I had been hearing and seeing a lot of positive feed back on Eric Noeldechen, owner of On/Scene Tactical sheaths. Believe me, I could not be more pleased with the finished product. They turned out perfect in every detail, fit and finish. What amazes me is that one sheath will now fit all 3 models of the Revolver series, and each model has a different blade style.
How Eric did this I have no idea, but each knife fits perfectly and can be rotated to the saw and holstered as well as the main blades. Imagine the work involved in figuring out how to make one sheath fit 3 different blade shapes but still hold each knife as tight as the others
, and still hold each saw blade while holstered just as tight, but removal of all is smooth as silk.
To make a long story short, Eric is a true craftsman who took a challenge and made it look so easy.
