You may have seen the thread I posted on making myself a copy of the first knife I ever made from scratch. Here is a photo of it.

As you can see, it was pretty rough, the grind only went about 1/4 of the way up the blade, and the handles were only about a 1/8" thick oak.

The new one came out much better, with a full heigth grind, and nicer shaped handles.

I`ve decided to do a run of this model.

The specs and prices are as follows:
8 1/2" overall
4 1/4" blade
1 1/4" tall
1/8" thick (standard, 3/16" is available as an option)

1/8" - $150.00
3/16" - $160.00

Any of my standard handle materials are available (G10 + $10.00)

You also have a choice of 6 small pins (brass or SS) or 3 large pins (brass, SS, or aluminum)

The price includes a leather pouch type sheath.

These will be serial numbered. If interested, please post in this thread, and email me your option choices. I will post a thread below with who ordered, and there number.

These will be available for delivery starting in February.

Cool. I will do so later.

SS small pins, red liners, same handle material as yours if you have more, RH dark chocolate sheath like you make for the bushcrafters (best pouch sheath ever!), 3/16 thick. And matching firesteel if you want.

JOHN 1 IN 3/16 6 BRASS PINS Ironwood /YELLOW LINERS RT HAND SHEATH

1 IN 3/16 6 BRASS PINS Tulipwood /RED LINERS RT HAND SHEATH WILL PM YOU THANKS FOR THE Special Run  :) DON B.

For some reason my suppliers can no longer get tulipwood. I`ll give you a call to pick another handle material.

I`m going to take orders for this model untill December 1st. After that, whoever has ordered one will be asked to pick a name for this model. ( 1 pick per knife ordered) I will then post the name choices in a poll to pick a winner. The winner will receive $25 off the price of their knife.

I like that idea John. I'm trying to convince my wife to order one but if she doesn't then I'll have to. I'm thinking maple burl with brass pins would look pretty nice.

These are going to be a one time offering, they will not become part of the standard line, as I want to keep them special. After December 1st, they will never be able to be ordered again.

I'm going to be proactive and throw a name in early...the JK Original. Handy for outdoors, indoors, utility, whatever you can throw at it. I know its a simple name, but those are easy to remember and I tied it back to the #1 John made.
I am going to order a leather AND a kydex sheath for this baby.

Remember that name for when the contest starts. As for kydex, I am also offering Tek Lok belt attachments now.

Hi guys -

I have a couple of names thought up for the first knife Stomper ever made from scratch....

Here is a more "straight-on" shot from the first Gathering this year -

I was intrigued by this little piece of JK history. ;)

Well guys, I had the pleasure of handling this baby yesterday and it is a really fine knife. I don't know why that would surprise anyone! Ha! Ha! I love the handle material! I am going to have to put myself on the order list too, even though I know I shouldn't! I will just have to work it out! I have already picked a name for it too! John I will pm you later this evening with the order on this baby! Better get those orders in before this closes guys! You'll be sorry you missed this one if you don't!

John I'll take one. I'd like it 3/16 thick, black micarta, 3 stainless pins. A kydex sheath that's tek-lok compatible would be great as I think I'll EDC this. Is it possible to get #7?

#7 is fine. Please email me these same details, and I`ll get you a price.
Thanks!!!

John,
Forgive me as I have been out of the loop for a while. Do you do convex and scandi grinds still? Also, is there an option and price for cord wrapped models?

I do both convex and scandi. I don`t do cord wrapping, but can supply a blade with no handles for the "do it yoursef" crowd. If you are interested, send me an email with the details.
