To Ray Laconico for giving me permission to make one of his Camp Knife designs. I had a customer contact me about making this one for him after he contacted Ray about making one. Ray did not have the time right then, so the customer asked me to do it for him. I must say, I`m glad he did, because it`s a sweet design!

Here are the specs:
12" overall
6 1/2" blade, with a 6" cutting edge
3/16" thick
Blade is 1 3/4" tall
Black linen micarta handles with hollow aluminum pins

Well done John! That looks like a real beast! Very cool to see two makers here on BF be complete gentleman about their designs and work as well :thubup"

Well done. First for you getting his permission and for him in giving it to you.
One thing I really hate about a lot of people is the "it's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission" attitude.
Those of us that know you, know that you are a stand up guy. If there are any doubters, I hope they see this and are convinced.

Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. The knife turned out really nicely too.:D

Good job John , looks like a real workhorse. Hats off to Mr Laconico for a good design and allowing John to do his thing. BF has the best people.

very nice execution sir. amazing blade. both you and ray make some of my favorite blades and I own a couple from each of you. nice work

Fantastic John! Both you and Ray have a very distinctive look to your knives, you did an outstanding job of making a JK out of a Laconico! I would not have guessed it was Ray's knife had you not mentioned it.
