Special tip on my coot!

Hi all

I got my bandicoot from Leatherman! he have made a great work on the "back" of the knife!

The tip is quite special! not the normal prenetrator tip but like this

what type of tip is it? is it a old model?

it looks to be your average penetrator tip, meant to remove the edges from the spine to allow for better penetration, and a generally pointier tip.
 
Heh heh, the pic is a little blurry, but the tip on this Coot is completely different. Its ground into the spine altogether different. I had drawn a sketch of what it looks like from the spine, on the left is the standard and on the right is the Coots grind.

I did that, it had a big spot in the coating on the spine so I sanded it off, looks kinda nifty like that huh?
 
The Coot looks great. The Penetrator tips will all be slightly different depending on who is doing the sharpening.

I've had several and they all have slightly different touches.
