Hello, I am a long time knife lover. First time visitor to this website. I usually buy unique knives that are eye catching , most of which usually stress the boarder of legality. Most of the time I buy my items in state, so I was wondering if I would be allowed to have this knife shipped to California without it being stopped in transit. http://www.bladehq.com/item--Mantis-Vuja-De-Balisong-Karambit--14678 I know that I am not allowed to legally carry it outside of my home concealed or not, but I have no idea whether I could have it shipped to my house without breaking a law since it is considered a butterfly knife. Any type of help is greatly appreciated!

Packages traveling within the United States cannot be "stopped in transit" by anyone, even law enforcement. A federal warrant is required, an unless your a mob boss or a drug dealer I don't see that happening. Also, the applicable federal and state laws apply to the seller, not you the buyer. The only risk is the seller may simply refuse to sell it to you upon checkout at the site.

Because it's only a 2" blade, it is not illegal in California. You can even carry it so long as your local laws permit it.
