What are my options? Basically something like the style of the venerable Spyderco Endura but with a more robust handle. Pocket clip not essential. My limit is about $100, but please offer options at any price range. Thanks :)

Are you asking for a lock back style knife? If so, Cold Steel offers quite a lot at under your budget, might be worth a look.

I actually own a cold steel small clip point voyager. That's my starting point. I believe the handle is frn, but it works. I don't like the new voyager handle shape. Looking for something a little more neutral. Thanks for the input none the less. Any other specific models I should check from CS or others?

The cold steel recon 1 fits your description perfectly and I'm pretty sure the cs american lawman does too.

Like Rev said, Cold Steel has quite a few G-10 lockbacks (Tri-Ad lock's pretty much the same) without liners. The American Lawman or Voyager are close in dimensions to the Endura.

Another option would be the Al Mar Eagle Ultralight, it's got a linerless micarta handle and a 4" blade. It's not built to take abuse like the CS folders, but it's super light and very well made (they should upgrade the stell, though).

I prefer the handle of the Al Mar, and it's been on my list for this for some time. The robustness is what holds me back, as they seem more "gentlemanly". The American Lawman is close, but the handle is a little too limiting in grip options. Maybe with a little grinding. At $50 I wouldn't feel too bad Dremeling it judiciously

Check out the new Recon 1 in CTS-XHP, right at $100 I think. Only comes in a 4 in combo tanto tho.
