The Greatest Viking Battle Sword Of All Time!!! . . . The Busse Viking Long Serpent Is Coming Tomorrow Afternoon, 6-13-2025

Why is it called The Viking Long Serpent?

The Ormen Lange, also known as the "Long Serpent", was a legendary Busse Viking Longship built for King Olav Tryggvason.

It was the most powerful Viking Longship of all time!

Our Viking Heritage . . . The Busse Viking Warship

The Busse class longships were the most prestigious Viking warships.
The Busse was large, with sizes up to 50 meters, or approximately 160 feet in length.
Fitted with both sails and oars, a Busse could have up to 35 pairs of oars, allowing it to travel with speed, utilizing any propulsion method.

The Busse was capable of carrying a large cargo, which was beneficial on large-scale raids, where the Vikings would look to take as much treasure home as possible.
The Busse was thought to have carried a crew of around 80 Vikings.
The scale and size of the Busse also allowed the Viking raids to travel further afield.
The larger cargo holds meant the journeys across the oceans would be feasible compared to the smaller ship classes.

The design and balance make this my favorite sword of all time!

Let's Drink!

How are Serial Numbers Assigned???
Here's the fun part. It's a race. Fastest to the trough gets their choice.
While numbers will be assigned in order, the fastest have first choice at a personal favorite serial number.
For example:
Joe Hog is the first order in. He will receive serial #1. But, he has the option to choose a higher number. Maybe it's #52, his High School football number, maybe it's 417, his badge number on the police force, or perhaps it's #13 because that is his lucky number.

NUCLEAR Handle Option:*
*The Nuclear Handle Option is not for the faint of heart but rather for those bacon-loving HOGs who do not fear the unknown!!!
The Nuclear option on the Viking Sword is a grab bag of sorts. You will receive a randomly selected handle from a pile of Nuclear Castoffs.
This pile of handles has many hand-laminated G10 and Micarta slabs as well as some solid colors not normally offered!
This option does not allow you to choose your handle!!!! . . . You do not get A CHOICE! You will get whatever you get by the blind luck of the draw! It is a veritable PORKpourri of oddball handle materials! The Nuclear Option Handles are available on Coated, Stonewashed, and Comp Finished blades. Nobody likes whine with their bacon, so we have implemented a "No returns/No whine clause"!
There are no returns on the Nuclear Option. . . .

So, you can either play it safe or you can go where only the bravest of HOGs have gone before with the Nuclear Option . . . . to PORKpourri and beyond!!!!

hope it's a true 2-hander!

2 regular size hands ?
I do not see two Dave Brown hands fitting in there :)

judging by the fact that the tubes are usually in .25" holes the handle area looks to be 5.5 to 6" or so between guards ?

You know this will need some Viking themed sheaths
Already have several ideas, lots of them actually.

I may do what I did back when I first made zombies sheaths and just make what my sick little mind comes up with and that is what is for sale .........muhahahahaha

I am afraid I will need 2 of them

Waiting on the specs and price. We’re the handles of Viking swords not longer for 2 hands? Could be the pic though.
