Hello forum members, does anyone have specs for The Kris bolo? (Blade content, rockwell hardness...) Great website but lacking essential info.

Mabuhay ang Escrima

Check under the product and company info link. It explains there their construction methods, and the material used. However I believe that the kris bolo is 5160 steel, edge hardened. Rockwell hardness varies on each knife, but I believe theyre generally around 60 RC on the edge, and the unhardened part being between 35-40.

Hey does anyone own this stuff (Kris Cutlery)?

I tried searching but couldnt find anything good.

It Sounds like they are real Swords!

And they are cheap.

Basically i want to know (becuase you get what you pay for)

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THEM?

Kris Cutleries stuff is what it is. Theyre good quality for the price. The handling and finish is what you expect for the price, but theyre well built and sturdy. You cant really find better stuff for the same price range.

I bought a korambit from Kris Cutlery and have been happy with it. As other have already pointed out, don't expect "world-class" quality but, you'll get your money's worth.

One more note on Kris Cutlery. They are coming out with a whole new line of higher end swords. Their website isnt updated yet, but hopefully soon.
