So...while we're waiting, some of us more patiently than others, I was wondering if anyone has the inside scoop on the Specs of the ASH1. I'm thinking it's not going to be exactly the same as the original SH1. In fact I'm going to start this off with my guess...

Over all length: 11"
Blade length: 6"
CG thickness: 0.1875" (maybe 0.220")
HOG/LE thickness: 0.25"

Ok...who's next? ;)

Overall: 11 3/4 inches
Blade Length: 6 1/2 inches
CG thickness: 3/16"
LE thickness: 1/4"
HOG: 5/16"

It did look a bit wee, didn't it? I was hoping the see a blade length around >7 not <7.

I too wish it were going to be longer (7.5+), but I'm guessing that since it is an Anniversary Knife it will be the same length as the SHI, namely 6.5".

Regardless, I'm sure I'll still want several.

Please oh please no corrugated bevels, not even on the CG model.

I like the CBT for choppers. Really! After some use with a CGFBM and a FFBM, I think the CG wedges far less often, and that is a good thing. Imagine an FFBM with CBT! Oh yeah!!! But for the ASH1...it's probably a little short for a chopper so maybe no CBT is a good thing.

"CG thickness: 3/16"

Oh, I certainly hope not. I want 1/4 inch all around.
I'm going to guess that since it's a SH1 it will have a 6 1/2 inch blade.

I love the original. I hope this new one feels and balances similar to the original.

I want one .50 thick :D it'll look like an INFI triangle from the tip down. Forget about a handle.

like one of those wedge things to split wood!! yeah!!!!

actually, i prefer .250 on the larger blades myself. and ive never had a heavy ordinance, so .310 would be pretty cool too!

Probably the 2 coolest big blades other than the SHBM's (of course) would be the MOASH and the FBM LE's.....along either line of thickness would be great!

It's kind of funny...I don't like em in the middle...either REALLY thick or REALLY thin...

I got love for em all....some more than other's. 'specially some uh...junk in the trunk...the INFI trunk that is..:p

Wish I still had that MOASH...

one of these days ill get my hands on some fat infi. id love an fbmle, but they are priced a little high for me.
someday, someday.

You could probably get one for a certain knife and a couple bucks :p...the MOASH is sweet...I wish I'd used mine...must be a BEAST. Dunno if I'm prepared to spend over a grand for one though...I'd probably just get another SHBM :D the fattest knife I ever had was an Off Duty....I batoned that thing into a post and split it like a wedge
