Speculation: What type of knife do you think the GEC French Kate will be?

I'm tempted to pull the trigger on a Ben Hogan, but I'm not sure I want to carry around a 4 1/2" knife. The Ben Hogan story has it that french Kate was one of his mistresses and his "business partner", so I'm wondering if perhaps the French Kate knife might be just a shorter version of the Ben Hogan ..... say 3 3/4" or so. Since their stories are related and intertwined you would think the knives would also be related or have some kind of connection. No? ;)

I realize our record on the speculation of various GEC patterns prior to release has been spotty, but what the heck ..... it's still fun! :D

Well, for my guess I'm going with just a more petite version of the Ben Hogan, perhaps tweaked a little here or there, realizing that may be too simplistic a solution for GEC. What say you ..... what's Kate gonna look like?

That could be possible, but it also could be some type of a ladies knife... perhaps something like a beefy melon tester, or a slim balloon style similar to the Conductor.

Well, since it was Kate who shot Ben, then maybe it will be a lady's dagger or something?

GEC just release penknife i.e conductor, so I doubt they would release another pen knife. No matter pattern, I'll be waiting for this. I got Ben Hogan and its great! French Kate was real tough cookie and was not to be messed with. I bet her knife reflects those qualities.

I guess "short" too, probably not a large/hefty pattern, they seem to be putting out some shorter ones again, after the Ben, 23 and 53
a shorter Ben would be awesome, would get 2 LOL (no money...)

or like others said, a "ladies" knife

Thanks for the educated guesses, guys! I'm going to try to hold off on a Ben until I see what Kate looks like. What I'd really like to see from GEC (Kate or otherwise) is something around 3 5/8" - 3 3/4" ............ Hey, time for a new thread! ;)

I'd love it to be a 3 3/4" or 4" piece with a single california clip blade - a proper pocket knife, like :)

But in something other than the even ender frame or the 'nearly a copperhead' frame of the Ben Hogan
