Can you get G-10 scales or steel scales for the Kershaw Speed-Bump ? My Bump has the plastic scales . If custome made, can you make it w/ pocket clip for lefties ?

Yes to the pocket clip.

I've not seen the knife you ask about in person, but based on the description in the catalog it sounds like the sanoprene scale fits the liners like a mold that basically equates to the underside of the scale being inlayed out so the liners sit up in them. I don't do that type machining and the times I've tried have ended up less than acceptable. Then there are additional machining requirements if the knife is assisted opening, which I'm sure it is, so you can incorporate the spring, and allow it to move freely.

I'd say based on that that I'd be hard pressed to come up with a scale that was cost effective. Have you contacted Kershaw Customer service to see about getting a set of the G10 scales from them? Talk with Thomas and see what he says.

I can custom make a clip for a south paw on that though, and I may be able to swap the existing one but none of the pictures I've found show the clip side so I can't say for sure there.

If you can post a picture of the clip side so I can get a view of that and you might shoot a spine view looking up inside it if possible, that would help. It will help me to see more clearly what I'd be up against anyway to better answer your question.

Thanks for asking.
