Howdy. I just picked up a used Kershaw Speed Bump on ebay as sort of a nice beater knife. It turned out to be in much nicer condition than I had anticipated and cleaned up really nice, especially with some aluminum black to the scales which had some wear.
My question goes to the springs that are in the thumb stud lock. They seem more loose than those in my Spec Bumb (which is much newer). The stud lock rattles when the knife is closed but things are plenty tight when the knife is opened and locked. The lock-up of the blade is perfect. Should I be concerned with this or is the loosening of the springs normal with use? Some amount of rattling inside of a speed assist knife (including my Zero Tolerance) seems to be par for the course. Any issue here?
