Anyone own or know much about Speed Tech knives which came out in the early 2000's. After wanting one for years I managed to pick one up from these forums. It's a button lock, fit and finish is first class, it opens as smooth as butter with no blade play. It's hard to understand how a company can go out of business with such a quality product.

I've got 2 of them. They are well made. Unfortionatly sometimes it takes more than a good product to stay in buisness.

Speedtech was started by Jim O'Young, who now is involved with the Hogue's series of knives.

I think Speedtech didn't last too long was the price point, at that time, was pretty high, and the manufacturing wasn't as advanced, so each knife was expensive and time consuming to produce.
