Well i thought i would write in on my experience with my Kershaw speed bump with black aluminum scales. Im not a collector and use my knife as a tool, which is what its intended for. I am a landscaper by trade so i knew this knife had better hold up. I EDCed it for about a month and all was good, i cut and poked with no problem. Then i got a large mulching job just recently and i knew this knife was gonna get a workout. I purchsed a couple hundred bags of pinebark mulch and busted out the speedbump. Slicing through the thick plastic was like a hot knife through butter. A half an hour in the knife was wet and covered in all kinds of dirt and debris. One of the guys helping picked it up to use it as well, and i thought oh shit this guy is gonna kill it. Only i knew how to take care of a knife, but i said screw it. Why own one if it was not gonna get used as it should. He hands it back closed, i had not intended to do that until i cleaned it first as i knew it would bind with all the gunk in there. All is well slicing away and mulching, until someone else picks it up and puts a bag on the ground slicing the bag and cutting the material as well with it. I was lifting up on the bags to just cut the plastic, so i was thinking i hope this thing can hold and edge. Now its all done, i leave the knife open and go to the sink to get cleaned up. I wash my hands then i load a sponge up with soap. Clean it up and all looked ok. The scales were in good shape with a few minor scratches. The tip was still intact with a slight bur at the very end folding over, but not a biggie. No chips were found and the speed safe worked perfect. There was no play on both the vertical or the horizontal. All in all the Speed bump cleaned up well after what i would consider extreme use. I hope you guys enjoy this mini kind of review/experience because this is a great product that deserves recognition. Keep up the good work Kershaw-Mike

Forgot to mention that it did indeed hold a great edge, still seems factory sharp

I just got my first speed bump recently, and I like it, too! I like the multiple cutting edges - nice pointy tip, wharncliffe for a couple inches, a good belly and a deep recurve. All bases are pretty much covered. And the torsion bar! It nearly lept out of my hand the first time I fired it.

+1 on the speed bump!

the recurve has a useful feature as well, for cutting thin strips of paper you can fold it over the knife in the belly of the blade and push forward, amazing cuts.

I love my Speed Bump! The black aluminum is perfect, the knife has fantastic ergos and cutting power and as a bonus, style, and the Stud Lock is rock solid!

Then to make it all even better, the street price of this knife with all that flawless execution makes it an unbeatable value, perhaps one of the best in the knife world from any manufacturer. ;)

Hear, hear. I like mine quite a lot (thanks SPXTrader!).

It's very nice...

Nice pic BTW, well today i cut some custom automotive gaskets from a plain sheet (tough to cut even with a razor). Yeah im an abuser of knives, but i want to test the limits of what this thing can do. So im not gonna hold back. I would really love to see a part serrated version, that would be awesome. Stay tuned
