I have had a Speedform 2 for a while, and since I got a Spyderco Manix I have finally gotten used to flicking a knife that doesn't have a flipper. My Speedform has a major problem, though. The knife is so stiff to flick that it requires literally twice or more force to flick than my Manix. Usually when I flick it I don't get the blade out all the way and have to resort to wrist flicking.
Is this normal for the Speedform 2? I took mine apart assuming it needed cleaning and that helped none (it did have a little grit in it). I have tried adjusting the pivot and it helps a little, but any looser and the blade rubs the liner. It seems like there just isn't quite enough room for the blade to fit in. Should I send it in for warranty repair/evaluation?
