A friend of mine who's an electrician came by last nite and wired up the motor to my second KMG grinder. Now with two grinders and less tool and belt changing, it should make grinding faster for me. With one grinder it takes me an hour to cut, profile, grind, drill, stamp and have ready for HT 3 PSK knives. 20 minutes per blade.

sound like we need a new shop picture. I have been wanting to build a sander/grinder. I have been thinking what to use or how to make inexpensive contact wheels. any ideas. Pat

I bought mine already made. The KMG http://www.beaumontmetalworks.com is where I got it. There is a small wheel attachment you can get for it. I have a 10" contact wheel but hardly ever use it. I've done some hollow grinds on it but don't care to do that type of grind.

Here's a shot of the grinding bench.

Ah, its magical that great works of art can spring from such humble environs!

Why board the window up Scott? View not so great?

I've got two windows. That one the sun shines off my equipment.
