Speeding up a Twitch II?

I was at a knife shop, and liked the Twitch II. The one I was handling seemed a bit slow, though it did open every time. I had a few Kershaw assisted openers (only have the black chive left somewhere) and they were all super-fast. I imagine I could test every one they have, and pick the fastest (maybe the one I was handling was a dud). If they are all too slow for my liking though, can the Twitch II be speeded up?

To speed SOG's assisted knives, a stronger spring is required. Other assisted knives had so much recoil that SOG wanted to have a "managable" opening. SOG experimented with many springs and wound up using what they have now. They succeeded in having a mechanism that both opened everytime and had almost no recoil.

I personally prefer the speed, but admire that SOG succeeded in what they set out to do. My Flash had a special spring put in and opens faster than stock ones (BTW...don't ask them for one, because I'm sure they don't have more).

I have a Kershaw Chive and a Twitch I and I know what you're talking about. I know it's far from being scientific but when I flip them at the same time, they seem to both lock at the same exact time. When I flip them seperately, the SOG just seems slow as dirt. Also, the SOG requires a considerable amount more finger pressure to open. I think that may be the difference. When you're used to the Kershaws assist that requires very little pressure to open, putting that much more pressure on the SOG's assist makes you think that the blade should come out even faster. Like I said, not very scientific but that's my two cents.
