It's been a while since I was in here. A few months actually. That does't mean I'm not still keen on Busse's. In fact I was at work today looking for an old track through some bush. I thought it best to bring the Bushwacker Mistress with me in case things got a bit rough.

As predicted some of the Lantana was a bit thick, but the BWM made way for me.

A couple more pics of it in its natural environment:

When it's not working it lives in this sheath by Chuddy Bear:

After using the BWM again today I remembered how much it can hurt my pinky finger. I'd like to get a large knife again with the Fusion handle. If anyone has a well loved but unmodified CGFBM they're looking to move on, I'm keen. Send me a PM.

Chris.

Next time we meet guys we should let our Mistresses to hang out together as well ;)

Is it wrong I want to spend time with your mistress to?!??!?

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Sheath too!!!!

Great pictures, it sure looks like you made the right choice in taking her along with you.

Thanks guys. While out in the bush I came across this...

It appears to have been dragged/pushed/fallen there sometime in the distant past. The rock is consistent with the area but there are no there signs of stonework in the immediate vicinity. There is a sandstone quarry about 2-3kms away though. The holes are square. Some of them are very square. And they are old. 10 points to whoever can tell me what it is.

With BWM for size comparison.

Easy, it is the hammer head from a stone hammer. For a really big dude.

For lighter brush like that stuff, and with good handle comfort, you might consider a SY 1311. Nice long, thin blade.

Just don't tell Bravado. :rolleyes::eek:

Yes, you're 100% right. For these sorts of jobs that blade is unbeatable in the Busse kin range.

It ain't real great at chopping though and I rarely cut through scrub like this so I figured this may be a good excuse to get back into a CGFBM. Just gotta find one...

Looks like the wholes were made to help split the rock in 3 pieces...... But if so, why (and how ) make the holes square?

Chris.

Looks like it was caused by Iron Pyrite? Indians probably took the stones out.

Probably from said quarry, square holes could be from a rock splitting wedge, driven in to pre drilled holes to split the rock along a line

Well that's easy. ...it's an Aborigines' Roman Candle Launch pad for fireworks! Just look at the angle mate.
10 points?
