Spending time with the Mistress

Well, Mrs. Kong was gone today so I spent some time with a couple of my mistresses. My BWM has been my go-to chopper for the last year or so. The NMFBM has been a safe queen. I recently put it on the Exchange and had two people commit to buy then back out. I decided that it must mean that I should punish her for not being good enough. I had a smaller tree in the yard that had cracked about 15 feet up and decided to take it down.

Here are the two Mistresses before:

Chopping with the NMFBM was incredible! Can't believe I haven't used this before!

A few minutes later and we have a downed tree. The weight and extra length of the NMFBM made easy work of it.

What I did notice was that the grips weren't as comfortable to me as they could be. The hand-shaped ones on my FFFBM are really comfortable so I thought I'd break out the sandpaper and give it a shot.

Incredibly comfortable now. Think I'll go hand shape something else...

Not sure why the forum software is randomly rotating pictures 90 degrees. Sorry. I'll just use Photobucket from now on.

Nice pics! Poor Mrs. Kong... but I think we've all been there!

Hand-shaped or Res-C on choppers are quite choice :)

Great pictures!! Thanks for sharing! Kniferman is right, they LOVED to be punished

Great job Fred and congratulations on finally using her! Now it will be even harder for you to part with her. ;) Well, unless you get to try a Zilla.
Isn't it amazing what a few minutes with sandpaper can do for a handle that's just not quite right but has the potential for perfection?!
That is how I got started with modding my handles too.
This BWM was the first handle I had to sand down, huge difference.

A few others followed suit soon after.

The Gladius really needed some sharp edges removed around the tube fasteners.

Great job as always Tim! I started working on my NMSFNO today and have my other NMFBM in line next. Woo hoo!
