Man, what is it with these khukuri?
I bought a Mini-jungle for a concealed carry type thing, and before you know it I buy a kothimoda!
I haven't even seen the first one yet and I've already spent more than $300 !

People, I just bought a Norihide Katana for $5000 and I am an english teacher, so you know I'm poor.

What am I thinking?

I already have more knives than I'll ever need.

I leak money like a fishnet coinbank.

I had to borrow money from my wife to pay the credit card bill this month and I am embarrassed about that. I think I did some growing up this month.
I'm gonna stop buying stuff without thinking about it for at least a week.
(If it costs more than $20)

How does that sound ?

you never have enough knives - mate !!

That's probably your wife/girlfriend talking !!

I have to think for a week about a 2.00 purchase. Just slow down for a while. Think of it as research. You'll be fine.

Start small, like 15 minute increments.

Remember: Debt is good.
Also, duct tape covers most embarassing rips and tears. You didn't really need those new pants did ya?:p

You didn't need the Katana. Shame on you!

The khukuris are different. THOSE you needed.

(Let me know if I can be of further help.)

I said something like that once...that was about 10 or 11 khurks ago...HIKV only hurts when you try to fight it.

Not entirely true.:) It also hurts when you don't have the money to buy -The One- you really, really wanted.:D

Or, when you keep missing out on a Durba that's already been collared by the Quackipuss.;)

Or, you keep missing all the M-43's because you warn't quick enough on the mouse. See above.:)

Or, when you're like Munk and don't have access to the forum.:(
But the upside of that is you don't know what you missed.:)

Or, when you have to spend your money fixing the dayumed car because it blew a timing belt.;)

Or,.............:D ;)

I should say that I am overjoyed with my purchases.
I feel like a prince when I hold my HI Kothimoda.
I feel like a superhero when I hold my Norihide Katana.
I feel like a retard when I can't pay my phone bill.

Do you really need the phone?

In any event you have a lot of company when it comes to being in debt for khuks. I'm not at the present time. But, Uncle Bill can tell you. I have been in and out of debt for about a year and a half and a couple of the khuks I didn't even lay a hand on. Those are the ones that really felt the best though.:D

I know exactly what you mean. I just went to the Post Office and picked up a new Kobra and a bill from the IRS:eek:

Since I contracted HIKV,I have been elevated to a daily ration of either noodles, rice, pasta, potatoes, beans,or grits.

I now relish making a choice as to which specific type of rice to cook.

Research has convinced me that Thai Jasmine with a free range baked chicken is pretty close to ecstacy.

The money saved has gone to HI for therapy.:D
