Had some time to get these beauties all sharp and ready for action. I am amazed how the bk2 slices phone book paper and shaves hair as thick as it is! Got the remora wrapped with a little cord too. I rewarded my bk14 for its sharpness by slicing up an orange. My next Becker will be the bk16. Plan on ordering one next week on payday!

BK 2 is like the staffordshire bull terrier of knives, unassuming and totally hard as nails

How hard is it to sharpen those knives with the sharpmaker? Also what strop is that?

I have had good results with the sharpmaker. However most of my knives these days I do freehand and then strop.

I had to get used to the thicker blade, especially on the bk2. Also, the factory bevel on the 14 was uneven so I had to use my diamond stones on sharp maker to reprofile back bevel to 30 and micro bevel to 40. Once the bevels are set, piece of cake to keep sharp with the SM.

The strop is the knives plus strop block. Best $20 I have spent. Came preloaded with green compound.

Awesome thanks for the info! I have yet to purchase to buy the diamond stones but i have been thinking about it. I like the size of the knives plus strop. I just got in a strop man but its small. Might have to pick up one of those strops for my bigger blades.
