Spey and Sheepfoot blade?

Does anyone know about the spey and sheepfoot blades? Are they as good as stainless steel? I was looking at german knives and wondering about this. I just need to know if they are stainless and rustfree.

The two blades you mentioned are blade shapes and can be made of any type of material, usually steel.
