I have the older and smaller frn Meadowlark 1. It's worth the $20 spent. I carry it in my checked luggage if I have to fly. I actually bought it to temporarily replace my Delica that I lost and ended up carrying the meadowlark as my edc for a summer. It works just fine as a knife.

Its nice man. Im sure it will serve you well.

My buddy took a byrd meadowlark over to afghanistan and it came out just fine. He told me that 95% of the time, all they use their knives for is opening their ration packs! Nonetheless I cleaned and sharpened it for him and its good as new.

Enjoy your new blade.

I own the Cara Cara 2 Rescue PE, which is the same as yours except it has a sheepsfoot blade.

It is a staggeringly good knife for the price. It has some cons versus the Spyderco Endura (of which I own two). The steel quality is lower (though not bad), the FRN isn't as attractive, and it's made in the PRC rather than Japan. OTOH, I actually like the Cara Cara 2 ergonomics better. It fills the hand nicely. And I like the 50/50% choil a lot.

I have the g10 cc2 its a great knife, especially when convexed. The steel is a little soft. Kershaw runs it about 2pts higher but still great stuff for a great price

love mines. needed a crap load of steel taken off to get a decent edge but its cheap as hell and works great! I got mines in G10 and couldnt be happier. It replaced a spyderco police.

Great knife. I have both versions & the FRN is smoother than the G10 model. I like the ergos better than the Endura. It takes a fine edge, locks up solid with no play, & carries very well. For $20, you can't go wrong with it.
