I LOVE this piece! My favourite Casey to date.

This is why I keep so many friends here. So I have the access to see blades like this. Would have never seen it! Beautiful. Thank you BF

The execution is only exceeded by the theme. Really, really wonderful.

The feather damascus gets lost in the center grinds, but look carefully, and it's there.

LOTS to inspect and enjoy!

Great stuff. Thank you Kevin!

Kevin,

That is very nice.

It is different from your usual knives.

from that thread are more of this maker's collaboration that Coop has done images for. Phyllis is thrilled with the top one that she got early for 81st birthday coming up in a month. At first I did not understand the length of the guard but now that she has it, it is easy to see why then one places the hand on the knife for a good thrusting motion. It is quite amazing at the inlay work and reminds us of the fine work the Harumi Hariyama does. Kevin's feather pattern is superb and is as good as it gets among any maker doing that style of damascus rendition. I eagerly look forward to seeing more collaborations he will be doing.

And I am the lucky one who gets to display this amazing knife
in a section on Kevin Casey in my next book!!! COMING SOON!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
