Bought this online without having handled one and never having had or handled a Southern Grind blade. Motivations: 1.) Quirk of mine is that I just can't like folders with two different materials on their sides. Yes, maniacal symmetry gone wild! 2.) Between framelocks and liner locks, I prefer the latter. 3.) I have no knives with full carbon fiber scales. Yes, I'm lurching into this decade. 4.) From the few reviews published, was attracted to carbon fiber with visual character of depth, contouring, surface texture and sculpting (for my first full-CF scaled knife). 5.) Perfect size for my hands and uses. 6.) From what I could understand from all of the previous attributes - adding thicness of tianium liners - it seemed like a high value-to-price package. 7.) Thought the black PVD-coated blade would visually play well with the glistening, glimmering depths of the CF. 8.) Liked the charitable purposes for SG's profits.

ALL EXPECTATIONS MET AND EXCEEDED! My new favorite <$200 knife, and by a large margin!

Most flippers/stud-openers I receive are treated with a few hours of flipping fun whilst I watch TV. No TV for this one. I just keep turning it in the light to stare iinto the scales!

One, very minor suggestion for SG to complete the stunning visuals of this knife: Match the appearance of the pocket clip with the blade. Clip is high gloss dark black, PVD-coated blade is matte medium black

Congrats on a cool knife. I am a fan of Southern Grind knives and think they are very well built.

I was looking one over as well--can you post some pics? Congrats on the new knife.
