.....just out working on the bike and this little girl decided to take a stroll up my arm as he had a little spot picked out under the seat.... :D

It's a Red Back.... the red back is generally the give away..... ;) She is very small hence the body difference to the one you picture (notice the size in comparison to the screw driver head).... :)

They are a very very common spider around the house here, we also get Funnel Webs (which is why a Red Back does not phase me too much ;) ) and White Tips IN the house.

Andy, you probably need to move to the US.:)

My Aunt lives in Melbourne and I can't seem to get her to move back. Something about excitement she gets from all the different death dealing creatures over there.:D
Plus she is happily married to a great guy.:)

Yep it's a Red Back, I had one bite me on the finger when I was a kid. :D
 
Blasted Red Backs ! Under every second bit of corrugated iron around here! Nice pic, Andy ! ;)

Crazy. Andy have you been bitten by anything crazy over there? The Funnel Webs are what would scare me.

Redback!! Those little bastards are all over Kempsey. They look great under a boot lol!
 
I am good with spiders until that get bigger than my hand. Then there will be some issues. :p
 
When I was there they had spiders everywhere! I remember walking to the Q1 tower and seeing like 5 big old web spiders dont remember what they were called, they had lots of colors!:D
 
These are what ya find in my yard damn thing's as big as a grape tomato.

Orb Spider in a patch of Blackeyed Susans in my back yard.
