Was doing some "upgrading" to my Nova last night...had to leave it for the morning.

So, I get up bright and early to get going and reach for the hood latch to raise it up...

"hmmmm....something doesn't feel right..."

Funny thing = later in the day my kids were Googling "spider man" and stumbled up on this image:

They hollered to Mom: "Look! It's Dad's Nova Spider!"....

:D

Bannana Spider!

I love those guys. Go find a cricket and watch him eat'em! When I was a kid I did that all the time! Truly an awesome sight!

And be sure to post pictures!

We have a kind of spider here that comes into the house every so often. Once found one about 7" from leg tip to leg tip in my study. Body was about the size of the end of a big man's thumb. In Taiwanese it's called a "laiya" (sounds a bit like liar). I used to kill them if I could. That was until I found out that they only eat cockroaches. Ever since then they've been a welcome guest.

Spiders are always welcome in our home. Actually, i have tons of the them at the office as well. From little fat house spiders that require me to knock down their home in the corners to the monster wolf spiders that practically fly across the floor like a facehugger from "Alien" I love the little guys.
My wife was getting ready for bed last night as I was turning off the lights int he rest of the house. She peers around the corner with one of her blue eyes, and in a tiny voice, "Will you come help me?....there's a spider in the bathroom and he's big." I stroll into the bathroom and see a gigantic mama wolf spider. I try to corner her into the cardboard that I plan on scooping her up with and she darts under the dresser. My wife has already decided to use the other bathroom to get ready, so i fake it and rush to the door like I have the spider. I figure that we didn't see Big Mama come in and we didn't even know she was there until she just happened to be walking across the bathroom tile when my wife flipped on the light. We'll probably never see her again....and she'll eat the bugs;)

She'll eat bugs and other spiders. Those non-poisonous spiders are truly your friend. Not only will they eat other spiders such as the recluse, but they'll eat the bugs the recluses live on too. This pressures the smaller recluse out of the house.

Always running into spider webs on the 4 wheeler. These garden spiders are all over the place. I am porbably a hoot to watch trying to find out if the spider is on me or not. Almost wrecked a couple of times. I like spiders as long as I don't see them and they are not on me!

Remember the first time I saw one (read: many, many) of those. I was out walking in a field near our house with waist high grass and brush and they were everywhere. Freaky lookin things.

Once my sister found a racquet ball sized furry spider on her pillow. I took it down the road into the woods and let it go. She wouldn't sleep in her room for weeks.

It's late and I'm shagged out, but I'm seeing something along those lines.
Spiders don't bother me one bit, I usually leave them alone when they are in the house as I'd rather have them around than whatever disgusting things they are liable to be eating.

Yup, there's definately a skeleton in a top hat on top o that there spider. No doubt about it.

Wonder how that guy would handle himself with one of the 7 inch tall praying mantis' we've got over, here. Those monsters even catch and eat humming birds!

no more "Nightmare Before Christmas" for you guys..!!

:D  :p
