Spike Hawk Max for grunt soldier, it`s 14" overall, with a 7" wide head, and has orange G10 handles. Won`t lose (or break) this one!

Shit man, I'm seriously struggling with placing an order for one of these. Gotta figure it out!

What makes it even more desirable is I can list it as an entry tool for the tax collecting feds.

Steve

Be sure to keep in mind that these cost more than the standard Spike Hawk, due to needing wider steel.

Oh mama!

Thats sweeeeet!

Congrats grunt!

Man I can't stop looking at this thread. I can't wait to get this bad boy out and about. I think I'm going to try and destroy a car because that seems to be what all the cool kids do with there hawks.

this bad boy showed up today and it's awesome. a freaking tank but still light and fast in the hand. I can't really get out and beat on it for about a week but I am very please. I'll post up some simple pics here in a minute of it getting a little use :)

well I went out and chopped some hard oak with it and it's a freaking beast. using the spike to smack into the end you can damn near split 4 inch plus rounds with it. it has some serious bite even on hard wood. very great product. it's really hard to get the great orange scales to show but I finally got one.

ohhh and the obligatory 7 chop test. busse bwm, jk spike hawk max and belt hawk. by far the spike hawk does the most damage. it's not a great photo but you can kinda see it.

Awesome,just awesome!Great pics man,that sucker is a beast ain't it.
Congrats on another fine tool from John.

had this out again today beating on some more firewood. it continues to impress me. it's a tank and the edge is holding up very well to it all. thanks again john, I'm definitely loving this beast

Do you guys think the contour of the Urban's handle would render the use of the spike useless? I am really liking these spike hawks- look like they would clear a side window or sheet rock well.

Bill

No, the curvature would not render the spike useless. In fact, if you look at many of the upper end custom tactical hawks today, many makers prefer them curved as a fighting hawk. Ymmv, but I LOVE the look of the curvature. No, I don't plan on taking it to anyone, but visually speaking it's stunning.

I have come back and looked at this thread more times than I care to admit. I'm a big fan of all your work, but this one has a special place. I will own one of these someday REAL soon.

this would be a amazing entry/exit tool. windows, walls, doors, vehicles it would have no problem with any of them. it's a amazing tool for sure. I don't believe the curvature of the urban hawk would effect it in a negative way at all. it may give it more forward weight.

That is freaking incredible. There should be one in every volunteer firefighters pickup.
