I am sorry to ask a question without pictures but I saw a unique sledge hammer at flea market today. Owner did not know what it was for and I have been unable to find it on the net. Weight was likely 6-8lb head, roughly 24" handle- the unique things was each head was drilled and there was one spike present inserted into one hole. I was not able to buy it and owner knew only that it was picked up in Lewisburg W Virginia- so we speculated mining and maybe a hammer for starting a brace and bit for charges?

Anyone seen one of these?

I WAS able to pick up a nice Warren Pickaroon from same seller and he had a BEAUTIFUL Disston/Craftsman 4' saw with helper handle. Did not have cash for that one either.

Thanks,
Bill

I do too, I was a few dollars short at that point or would have brought it home. I went back Sunday but seller was not there :(

I had a good chat with him and he said he would likely be coming back so maybe I will get lucky and get that one yet. He had the Pickaroon and that one I had to have as it is my first. Add need for produce and had to install a water heater... the day and unique hammer got away from me.
