I'm thinking of making a kukri. I have no specific type in mind at this time.

I'm just wondering what u guys think is the most attractive and effective angle to bend on the spine. My intention is to use it primarily as a chopper, mainly on wood, but flesh and bone isn't out of the question either.;) I'm gonna go full tang, and the overall length will be around 18", belly no more than 3.5" (as dictated by my stock)

I can't wait to hear your replies!

I don't think there's some rule on what the angle is supposed to be. I've seen everything from barely recurved, to extreme recurves. Soft curves and hard angles. You should research the style of khukri you want to make, and then design something that's similar looking. After that, you can see how it works, and tweak.

Don't get caught up chasing perfection on paper. You'll never get anything done that way. There's no scenario where anybody works out all the caveats to making something the first time and thinks of all the variables. It just doesn't work that way.

Good luck!
