I need the insight of the long time Hogs: other than looking pretty cool was there a purpose for the unusual spine on the Hell Razor and Mud Razor? I started wondering about this as I was reading another thread, which discussed batoning with a HR, and I became curious if the shape of the spine made batoning any harder. So, can anyone enlighten me? How did Busse describe the spine profile at the time they were releasing these?

I have no idea how Busse described it but to me the shape of the spine is very comfy. When you hold the knife in normal grip your thumb rests on the first curve, and when you choke up on the blade and put your finger in the choil your thump moves naturally to the next curve. To me they are thump ramps. I battoned my HR without problems.
