Spinning Heads on Brass Pinstock?

Short of buying a head spinner...is there an easy way to dome the ends of 1/8 brass pins?

I have the pins going thru some Sambar stag and dont want to take them down flush.

I use a tac hammer for my pins. I cut them off with around 1/8" sticking out on the scale side and a 1/4" sticking through on the inside or reverse side. I hold the liner and scale with the liner facing my anvil and lightly tap around the head of the pin with the tac hammer (polish the head of the hammer) making sure the pin is the only thing touching on the anvil underneath... don't let your liner touch the anvil. I then tap the pin that is now mushroomed down until it sits tight in the scale. I flip it over and cut the pin off 1/16" and pein it into my liner. What rough edges that are left on the top of the pin on the scale side can be polished smoothly with your buffer. Normally, its the buffer that does most of the rounding work for me than the hammer. The pins sit out around 8 thousandths for me with this method.
If your putting the pin through both sides of the knife at the same time, I do it the same way.
