I was sitting around today, opening and closing my Kershaw Shallot repeatedly and I noticed that after opening a few cycles the blade would develop side-to-side play, so I started watching the pivot closely as I opened it and saw the pivot spinning, my leek is also this way, I have now loc-tited both of them and fixed the play problem, but I was wondering if there was any real reason to allow the pivot to spin other than just a way to cut cost? Thank you for the information in advance!
