Got an awesome gift from Randy "r redden" today. He had something that he thought I would like, plain and simple. No other reason than he wanted to give someone a gift. That is so cool! I have given gifts here before and probably will again soon. There is just something about the spirit of traditional knives that makes this place the way it is. I don't even participate anywhere else on these boards than in here. I just like it and I like the people that participate here.

Randy, thanks buddy! It's not the knife, but the gesture behind the knife that makes it special. Oh and by the way, I really like the knife :)

The gift of giving here never surprised me and beautiful blue on the soddie Eric. Randy's a great guy~

Very cool! Another great example of the kind of thing that makes this place awesome!

Congratulations, very nice gesture :) I received a Japanese Hobo Knife from Randy last week :thumbup:

Congrats on that sweet sodbuster!, It always makes me smile, and warms my heart a little, reading a thread about an act of generosity like this. Thanks for sharing!

Kudos to Randy! :thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks for the kind words from all. It is a good feeling to gift a knife and make someone's day. If you haven't ever done it give it a try.

Thanks for your generosity, Randy! :cool::cool:
I certainly enjoy seeing stories like this at the end of a tough day to adjust my attitude! :D

Congratulations! I'll never cease to be amazed at the generosity of the folks around here. That blue sodbuster is one I've always admired, but never pulled the trigger on. Very nice.

If anyone wants to give me a gift I will welcome anything Lol. Most blades in here are way too expensive for me, but I can appreciate the quality. Maybe eventually I will be able to have a nice blade, even if I have to make it myself.

Now THOSE are some snazzy boots! What are they?

Thanks. It's an outfit out of Indonesia called Chevalier. Handmade MTO shoes and boots. I saw some of their stuff and looked pretty good, so I thought I'd try them. I'm pretty happy with the quality.

Welcome aboard, new guy.
