I thought it was supposed to be released in the US sometime in August. I know I could order it from that site I found over seas but I don't want to pay 130 dollars for something that I could get for less than fifty over here. Does anyone know when its going to be released here in the US?

Spirit release date

Hi,
A week or so ago, I talked with Vic's US branch. They said Mid-October for a release date for the Spirit. However, sounds like they may miss that as they want it to be right when it does release (which i thnk is a refreshing idea).
Having seen some European sites advertisiing it, I wonder whether they really have them. You might want to check as I understand that the market prices here in the USA will start at a fair amount lower than the prices quoted on the European sites.
I hope to have more info on this subject in a week or so. Will post if I learn anything.

They look pretty cool, but isn't that kind of a goofy shape for a knife blade - just a squared off tip? Maybe that gets fixed?

Man I ordered my Spirit about three weeks ago when I heard it would be out in September. Now you say it will be lots later than that? 
Oh well, I hope when they do become available that it's as good as their big Swisstool! As far as which came first, my guess would be the Charge, since it is readily available!

Yea... I have a LM Charge Ti and I'm not to fond of the bit drivers thats why I want to get the spirit. Hopefully they want change to much about the spirit cause I like the curved handles ... but I wouldn't mind if they did away with that funky looking blade. I may have to get one of the Swisstools that is already out to old me over until the Spirit comes out.
