Spirit Samurai Blade and Sheath I just finished

Sorry, the photos are still not nearly as good as I have seen on Blade Forums. I am still experimenting, trying to find a good method. Anyway, here are close-ups of the Shive Ki Samurai Spirt blade and a sheath I just fininshed for it.

The photos still dont show the grain of the blade very well. It is really interesting. Sharp too! I had to keep tape on the edge when I was making the sheath.
 
Very nice looking knife, what is the blade made from?

BTW, you've got some pretty good images there, I think that with a little fine tuning with Photoshop, or something similar, you could end up with what you are looking for. Look for a filter called "unsharp mask", bringing out fine detail is exactly what it does.
 
Thanks Keith. I have made a few sheaths for knives I have made and just finished this one for the Shiva Ki knife. I want to post some photos of a few of the knives I have made but still practicing on photographing. I just dont get the knack of photography like some of the people on Blade Forums.
