Stopped by Walmart and they had these knives for $25, had wanted one, so snapped up a green version. But, these "slimlines" seem to have a different shape than the spitfire, I think I like the walmart one's look better. Also, I'm just gonna call it a spitfire.

Seems to be well made, very little horizontal or vertical blade play on lockup. Buck sharpness. Cool blade shape, and finger hole is much easier to use than the smaller one on the vantage. The spring retention closed is a tad weak, but no big deal. I wonder how strong the anodization is?

What else is really cool about this spitfire? It has two colors! (Found out after)

I have both versions. Personal preference is the spitfire. It is my edc and has been since I bought it when they came out.

Is the only difference the shape of the back of the handle? I have a Spitfire and like it very much? When I bought mine at the Buck factory store they had some with two colors as well. It seemed they were working through what colors they were going to use as there were two versions of the green and two versions of the orange with different insert colors like yours.

Interesting. No, the blade shape looks a little different. The slimline lacks the taper on the top spine, and looks to curve down more.

Any blade play in the Slimline?

The Spitfire's frame reminds of the 112. I like the blade on the Slimline better though.
