Hello

Looking at these two knife maker / knives. Curious with regard to people’s view of the two.

I am sure both are competent and well deserving of their price tags. And personal preference will dictate everyone’s opinion.

Does anyone have a view that one is better suited to harder tasks vs fit and finish ?

Trying to isolate the key differences here….

Both are suited for tasks any other good folder could handle. I don't really use mine hard though. At all.

Fit finish: arguably the same.

Key differences: all superficial stuff.

DUK:

it's the flickey version of the Sebenza. Uses thumstuds. Does not roll out.

Lamia:

Easier to reverse flick for me as it's got a window as opposed to a thumstud.

Biggest difference and make the lamia the win for me is the fact it can be rolled out. So it does all three well. Flick, reverse flick and rolls out.

Final thoughts:

Both are nice, but I let the DUK go. Both the Lamia and Rosie roll out and I liked that. They are also a bit smaller, which works well for me.

In the future I might try a DUKling.

My vote is Lamia if only one.
