Split Rivet Question...

This is a picture of a rivet on the BIBB I recently purchased. I can't really tell if this is a split or a missing chunk. Anyhow I would like your guys opinion as to if I should send this in to Busse for a fix or just leave it. The knife is in new, unused condition and I'm concerned it might get larger with use. If my concern unwarranted, then just tell me to go chop something up with it!:D

IMO, that rivet should easily hold. However, if it is something that bugs you about that knife, even a little, then I have no doubt that Jerry et al will make it right for you. Give them a call.

If Jerry doesn't, I'm sure that Amy-0 will. She's THAT good.

I need to call the shop Monday about my BATAC order anyhow, so I will probably arrange to have it sent in. Even though it will probably hold, I will know it's still there, LOL. Does anyone know how fast the turnaround time is for a rivet fix and if I need to send payment for return shipping?

Send that bad boy in and we'll fix her right up for you. . .

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Jerry

That knife came from me! I apologize for not noticing the rivet! I never look at the rivets, probably the one thing I take for granted! If needed, I'd be happy to cover your shipping costs to Busse shop. Just let me know. I'm surprised I missed that! I'd handled the knife several times too! Maybe I missed it because I'm a lefty and it's on the left scale. I can't rightly tell by the pic. As proven above, you can count on Jerry to take care of you! One of the great things about Busse knives are the Busse's that stand behind them!

Pbubsy, that's a generous offer from you!

And yet again we see the great customer service from Busse

Some great HOGs and great customer service round these parts. I love this place!

Edit to add: *Sorry for the low quality pic, the only camera I had handy was my old Sony floppy disk camera!:o

What's a floppy disk?

Thanks for the great service! It's no inconvenience at all. Now I can look forward to getting it back in the mail. Kind of like Christmas all over again!:D

I'll be sending it out tomorrow, can I send a check for the return shipping, or do you guys prefer a credit card? Either way, just shoot me a PM with the total and I'll get it right out to ya.
