I’m a novice when it comes to axes, so any info is appreciated. I recently acquired this in a trade. It’s in good shape, but he painted the axe head so the makers mark is hard to see.

I posted a thread not too long about this pattern and proposed the name "Winged Spaltaxt" for it since I can't find an existing name. https://www.bladeforums.com/threads...type-of-german-splitting-axe-pattern.1960057/ I don't recognize your stamp but several companies have made/marketed these. Adler makes a version and Garant in Canada has been selling them for several decades but they outsource their axe heads to various manufacturers. I believe the pattern is originally a German style but I haven't found much definitive info on the origin.
