Splitting Belts???

Do any of you split belts down the middle for example to sand or gring smaller ID radius pcs or??? I am just beginning to make smaller folders and need to profile curved bolsters. Does it work better than a full 2" belt"

sure do. Being narrow, it can get into smaller spaces - this is the advantage.

I split all my belts..I grind on 1 inch wide wheels
