I think from years of sharpening and understanding of how to form a Apex.Very nice!
What was your progression?
I think from years of sharpening and understanding of how to form a Apex.
Yes, lol, that is what I meant.I think he meant grit progression![]()
LolYes, lol, that is what I meant.
I use Lansky... 400 grid to form the edge then the 1000 grid ceramic stone a few passes at a higher angle. Finish off with very light stropping on a leather strop loaded with car polish. Very simpleYes, lol, that is what I meant.
Did the same on this HR2 before testing
Yes I stripped the coatingNice! That's one of the many great things about this steel, it's easy to sharpen and maintain. No worries of abrasives being too soft to cut carbides, no worries of stubborn hard-to-remove burrs, no need for so called "super abrasives" because it's crazy wear resistant and hard, just nice, relatively easy to sharpen steel and one that's quick to touch up as needed, it's not a whole production to get it back to sharp again.
BTW, I love your HR2. Looks so good! Is that a formerly black coated model which you stripped?
Awesome lol.... seeI hold you personally responsible for my impending purchases of both a TGULB and an HR2 just so you know.
My wife's not gonna happy about this.....
Yeah why not.... give it a shot!So cool mate! I'm gonna have to give this a go.
