I was fortunate to take my first deer with a 2008 Diamond "The Rock". Good bow and not a problem with it. I blame my second deer shot....and a miss ... On my wall of pins!!! No need for a 4 pin sight when hunting deer in brushy NC. Plus I pulled the shot thinking it was a slam dunk.

Anyways, I wanted something to really keep me satisfied for the next 10 years or so :)

The more I read and shopped the more I liked Hoyt bows.

Shot this baby 3 times and my mind was made up!!

So I sold.....and sold.... And sold anything I could think of.

Traded my ACOG in to the bow shop owner in on the accessories at a slight loss and BAM!!! I have a fully outfitted Element what would have cost me the CRX and assesories total.

I'm a happy fella and plan to get dialed in well for next deer season.

The sight I chose is a single movable pin by Viper. Simple and will get the job done sight picture clutter free.

Now I need a better stand to have in place. :) always something I guess!!!

Congrats on your new Hoyt. They make a really nice bow... Hoyt and Martin, are the only two companies that very rarely, ever have any problems with their limbs

I'm just in a rut, and have been shooting Mathews for quite a few years, so its hard to change.

I never understood the wall of pins. I have only used 3 pins for years. 20-30-40, and I sight to know how much to allow for anything over 40, which is very rare.

I shot a new bow one time at the Bowtech factory, and it didn't have any sights.
When I asked the guy, he said just shoot it like you normally would. The first shot was high, but after that I was hitting where I was aiming :D

Hopefully your new bow will bring you luck next season
