Here is my latest creation, I call it my spontoon war hawk! It is a celtiform style hawk where the blade is wedged or burned into the handle. Usually A big gnarly stick!:D
This one is burned in, epoxied and pinned. The handle is Oregon vine maple (very sturdy stuff, makes a great self bow also) and is wrapped in artificial sinew. It also has a blade cover dyed to match the handle. Let me know what you think!

Awesome work Ben...is the steel 5160?
It looks forged though..

It's Oregon vine maple.

That would ruin a BG's day real quick.
Nice work... like recurve of the handle... like a modern ice axe.
