Hey friends.. I am interested in starting some spoon carving any advice on tools? Post any pics of your work too!

I once carved one where you used a coal to burn out the bowl and thus didn't have to try to cut the bowl. Also have heard the mora curved blade spoon knife is money well spent if you plan to carve a few.

I think Andy should make some spoon carving knives!!! Can I get an "AMEN"?

I think it'd be cool, but doubt it would ever happen. Hard to break into that market competing against top of the line hook knives from Pinewood Forge or North Bay Forge that go for $60. I'm sure us sharks would buy up any that Andy put out though.

I like the hook knife from north bay forge. It is scary sharp and the shipping was super fast with no wait list. I recently got this hirsch 35mm no. 7 straight gouge that also works well.
