If you can find one that’s still open. Yes from time to time they have carried knives from the byrd line.
 
I just went to there web site and searched for "byrd knives" and a "sorrry no results for your search, try again", also checked for "byrd" and recieved the same again. no online catalog yet. you might try giving the closest one to you a call?

I never had any luck finding knives on their website.
 
I got my Raven and CaraCara at one last year. Sadly it just closed down. But I did get a lot of fishing stuff at their closing sale. All of the knives were gone when I got there except for the cheap junk and some Crkt's, I scored a red Point Guard for $12.
 
We had the byrd cara cara and robin at the lewisville store I worked at. It clossed in Jan. 2008. Got a letter in the mail a month or so ago saying SW has gone bankrupt.

What have you heard? They are beginning to restock now. They got in 200 guns last week. I know about all the store closings. The remaining TN store was their #3 store in the country.
 
Sportsman's Warehouse filed for bankruptcy. While some stores will continue to operate as usual, they are closing some stores and selling others. In effect, Sportsman's Warehouse still exists but many of their stores are closing.

As to Byrd knives, the one I went to carried Spyderco but I don't recall seeing any Byrds. Never bought a knife there b/c the prices were simply too high.
 
Yeah I used to work at the one in Round Rock, Tx selling knives there but I was let go the Saturday before they closed. And we did carry the Byrd knives there but it was not for too long and that was about a year ago.
 
So this is a recap of old news. Okay. Got it. Speculation. I knew about all this the day the buyout went bust and the sale of selected stores were announced. The Chapter 11 followed in a few weeks. So, unless someone has some current news...

Bitter1, I hope you have found another job. Texas is not in as big a slump as a lot of the country.

Yeah, they filed for bankruptcy along with Bi-Lo grocery stores
 
New Berlin, WI closing :(:(. This just blows donkey %@#$ :grumpy::grumpy:!!!!
