SPOT and mini teklok

I have a SPOT. I read somewhere (and also in the instructions with the SPOT) that the sheath is compatible with a mini tek-lok. However, the rivets/holes just do NOT match the mini-tek-lok.

I have neither a drill, nor a dremel or anything.

So how do I affix the sheath to a mini tek-lok? I would like to rig the SPOT sheath for carry either 45deg horizontal or on my pack strap.

Help.
 
I had heard that the new SPOT sheaths were supposed to be ready for a Mini-TekLok, but mine weren't. Fortunately it is very easy to fix that. You just need to drill two holes and you're in business.

And buying a drill isn't actually all that expensive either. :)

I really like the SPOT as a horizontally-mounted belt knife.

mine is the new spot sheath. the holes are not spaced wide apart enough to accept the mini teklok screws.

anyone share the same problem?
 
Sorry, I realize that I wasn't clear. I now have the new SPOT sheath. It will not work with either size of TekLok without modification. :(
